Terms of Service

PixText is operated by Huilan Lei, an independent developer, referred to as "PixText", "we" or "us" in these terms. These terms govern your use of pixtext.io (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What PixText is

PixText is a web app that edits text inside images you upload: it detects text, erases it, reconstructs the background, and lets you type replacement text. Results depend on the image; we don't guarantee any particular output quality.

2. Your account

You can try the editor without an account. Downloading results requires signing in with Google. You're responsible for activity under your account. One account per person — creating multiple accounts to reset free limits isn't allowed. You can stop using the Service at any time and can have your account deleted by emailing hello@pixtext.io.

3. Plans and limits

Within a single editing session, an image counts once when you first download an edited result. Re-uploading an image or starting a new editing session may count as a new image. On yearly plans, the monthly quota resets on the same day of the month as the original purchase date, or on the last day of shorter months. We may adjust limits or prices for future billing periods. If a change affects an active subscription, we'll notify you by email or in-product notice before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it applies. Price changes never apply retroactively to a period you've already paid for.

4. Billing

Paid plans are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly through our merchant-of-record partner, which is the seller of record and handles checkout, invoicing, taxes and payment data. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy and are executed through the payment provider. Your merchant of record is identified at checkout and on your receipt.

5. Your content

Your images stay yours. We claim no ownership over anything you upload or create with PixText. You authorize us to process your images only as needed to provide the Service, including detecting text and reconstructing edited areas; final exports are rendered in your browser. As described in our Privacy Policy, uploaded images are held temporarily in server memory, never written to persistent storage, expire within 24 hours (sooner when capacity requires), and are never used for training.

You're responsible for the images you upload and what you do with the results. Only upload images you own or have the right to edit.

6. Acceptable use

Use of the Service must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you may not use PixText to create or edit pornographic, sexually explicit or sexually exploitative content, to forge documents, to impersonate others, or for bulk automated access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate the policy.

7. The Service is provided "as is"

We work hard to keep PixText fast and reliable, but we provide it without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. AI-based detection and reconstruction can make mistakes — always review results before using them.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for how third parties use images edited with the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't be excluded under applicable law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy; where reasonable, we'll warn you first. If we terminate a paid account for reasons that aren't your fault, we'll refund the unused part of the paid period pro rata through the payment provider.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes — anything affecting pricing, renewals or your rights — we'll notify active subscribers by email or in-product notice before the change takes effect, and update the "Last updated" date. Minor clarifications may be posted without individual notice.
