Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
PixText edits text inside images. Most edits — fixing a typo, updating a poster, redacting private details before sharing a screenshot — are exactly what it's for. This policy draws the line around the misuse we don't allow.
Don't use PixText to deceive
- No forged documents.Don't edit IDs, passports, certificates, receipts, invoices, bank statements, tickets, medical records or other official or financial documents with intent to pass them off as genuine.
- No tampering with evidence.Don't alter screenshots, chat logs or records to misrepresent what someone said or did.
- No impersonation.Don't create images intended to make people believe they come from a person or organization they don't, and don't use someone's likeness or identity to impersonate, deceive, harass or violate their privacy or publicity rights.
- No fraud.Don't use PixText in phishing, scams or any scheme to obtain money, credentials or personal data by deception.
Editing for parody, mockups, testing or clearly-labelled fiction is fine — the line is intent to deceive.
No sexual or exploitative content
Don't use PixText to create, edit or distribute pornographic, sexually explicit, sexually exploitative or non-consensual intimate content. Any content involving the sexual exploitation of minors is strictly prohibited.
Respect other people's rights
- Only upload images you own or have the right to edit.
- Don't remove watermarks, credits or copyright notices from someone else's work without their permission.
- Don't edit images to harass, threaten, defame or expose private information about someone, and don't create content that promotes hatred or violence against people.
Illegal content
Zero tolerance for content that's illegal where you are or where we operate, including child sexual abuse material. We may preserve and report information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to address suspected child sexual exploitation.
No abuse of the Service
- No scripted, automated or bulk access to the editor or API endpoints.
- No circumventing plan limits or security measures (multiple accounts, quota manipulation, probing or interfering with the Service), and no reverse engineering.
- No reselling PixText access without our written agreement.
- Unlimited-plan fair use means human editing sessions; activity that appears automated, abusive or intended to circumvent plan limits may be throttled or blocked.
Enforcement and reporting
We consider content, usage patterns and context when assessing violations. Depending on severity, violations can lead to warnings, suspension or termination of your account, as described in our Terms of Service. We keep records of abuse reports and the action taken.
